Seattle, May 2, 2024—Russell Investments has hired John Roche to serve as Head of RIA Distribution to lead the firm’s business strategy, distribution, and product development efforts within the Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) channel. In this newly created leadership role, Roche is dedicated to delivering guidance and support to RIAs on product positioning, practice management and market trends with the goal of enhancing their effectiveness.

Roche, who joined April 24, reports directly to Brad Jung, head of North America Advisor & Intermediary Solutions at Russell Investments.

“John brings a wealth of expertise to this client-focused role from his leadership experience at several wirehouses and national broker-dealers,” Jung said. “We’re very happy he’s onboard to help develop and execute on our ambitious strategy to engage clients and prospects in the RIA channel with our institutional-quality products and services.”

Prior to joining Russell Investments, Roche was Chief Executive Officer for R Cubed Global Capital since 2020, as well as a partner and co-founder of R3ETFs. He previously served as Vice President at Anchor Capital Advisors. Earlier in his career, he held sales-related roles at Poplar Forest Capital, Gabelli Funds and Thornburg Investment Management.

Russell Investments’ Advisor & Intermediary business is dedicated to developing and executing strategies for advisor partnerships in North America, along with client relationships in the wealth management and retirement channels. Roche joins Russell Investments at a time of exponential growth for the firm’s Personalized Managed Accounts program, as one example, which has quadrupled in assets within the past year.
