Where are internships located?

Most of our internships take place at our headquarters in downtown Seattle, Washington at the Russell Investments Center.

When are internships held? How long do they last?

A select number of part-time internships are offered year-round. Our summer internship program is full time and runs for about 10 to 12 weeks, typically between June and August. Among the benefits that students receive include: a mentorship program, professional training, networking opportunities and end of summer presentations.

Are internships paid? Are there any benefits provided?

Absolutely. All interns earn a competitive hourly rate. We provide an ORCA card to all interns in Seattle. The ORCA card can be used for the bus, train, light rail and foot ferry.

How do I apply for an internship?

We welcome students who are interested in interning to apply online. If there’s a potential match, you will be contacted for a phone interview.

Who is eligible to intern at Russell?

We look for the best and brightest students who share a passion for the investment and financial world. We also look for those who have respect for people, diversity and non-negotiable integrity. Our summer internship program is open to all candidates who are currently enrolled full time in an accredited four-year university.

Do I have to be a United States citizen to qualify for an internship?

No. To be eligible for an internship, you must be able to provide proof of legal eligibility to work in the United States.

Can I intern at Russell even if I’m not a finance major?

A specific major isn’t required to become an intern. While we employ interns in all areas, including IT, finance, human resources and marketing, we are particularly interested in people with a passion for the financial services and investment world. Our money manager and investment management internships are some of our most popular internships.
