Scott Bennett

Scott Bennett is the Director of Equity Strategy & Research at Russell Investments, leading a team that focuses on global quantitative equity strategies.

In 2004, Scott joined Russell Investments as a consulting analyst, followed by a role advising large clients in the Asia-Pacific region. He was also a portfolio manager focusing on Australian equity funds before joining the investment division in 2007.

His research has been published in several journals. In 2010, he won the JASSA prize for best paper. He is also a regular guest on CNBC Asia and the Sky News Business channel.

He previously worked for MLC Investments, including as an Investment Research Analyst (Retail), and was a Treasury dealer at AWI Pty Ltd.

Scott lectures postgraduate students in quantitative applications in finance at the Financial Services Institute of Australasia and in Funds Management at Macquarie Graduate School of Management.

He holds a BBus (Distinction), AdDipFS and AdDipFP from RMIT University and a MFin from the University of NSW.
