Securityholders of the Russell Smaller Companies Pool and Russell Smaller Companies Class approve amendments to the investment objectives of the Funds

TORONTO, JUNE 24, 2015

Russell Investments Canada Limited (Russell Investments) announces that the proposed changes to the investment objective of two of its funds, Russell Smaller Companies Pool and Russell Smaller Companies Class (the “Funds”), were approved by securityholders at a special meeting this week.

The investment objective changes are effective June 30, 2015.

Russell Investments, a leading global provider of multi-asset solutions, had earlier asked securityholders to approve a change allowing the Funds to invest primarily in foreign smaller companies as well as Canadian smaller companies. With the securityholder approval, the Funds now have the ability to participate in more foreign investment opportunities and increase global diversification.

Effective June 30, 2015, the names of the Funds will change to "Russell Global Smaller Companies Pool" and "Russell Global Smaller Companies Class" respectively.

A Management Information Circular with full details about the proposed changes was mailed on May 26, to investors of record as of May 19, 2015.
