Andrew Kitchen is Managing Director, Institutional Canada for Russell Investments’ Canada Limited’s (RICL) institutional business. Based in Toronto Andrew (Andy) has overall responsibility for the Canadian Institutional business providing RICL’s Fiduciary & consulting solutions, covering all aspects of investment programs including governance, strategy, investment policy, asset class structure and implementation.

With over 25 years of experience in the consulting, risk management & asset management industry, Andy has worked with a wide range of institutional plans in the corporate, multi-employer and public sector. Andy’s experience includes actuarial & benefits consulting, merger & acquisition consulting, investment consulting and client & product management.

Andy began his career in 1992 providing actuarial & investment consulting advice for R. Watson & Sons (UK) (now Willis Towers Watson) and for Morneau, Coopers & Lybrand (now Morneau Shepell) after moving to Canada in 1996.

In 1998 Andy joined SEI Investments assuming a senior role responsible for the delivery of investment advice, product & solutions to a wide array of pension plans, not-for-profit, corporate and insurance asset pools, contributing to the initial design and subsequent growth of SEI’s outsourced and delegated investment solutions. Andy was instrumental in the overall client experience, the provision of strategic advice, LDI & de-risking solutions, and a member of the Canadian Executive Committee.

In 2017, Andy joined Russell Investments to assume the strategic role of Managing Director – Institutional Canada assuming leadership and strategic direction for the growth & delivery of RICL’s Fiduciary & consulting solutions to its platform of clients.

Andy is a member of Russell Investments’ global leadership council and Canadian Executive Team.
