Brian Frick is a Director, Investment Strategy & Solutions in Russell Investments’ US Institutional business. Brian is responsible for the completion and presentation of strategic reviews (asset / liability studies) and risk-budgeting exercises for advisory and outsourced clients. Brian also oversees the design and implementation of liability driven investing solutions for US defined benefit plans, including annual optimizations and dynamic portfolio positioning.

Prior to this role, Brian was a Senior Client Executive for Russell Investments’ US Institutional business, responsible for assisting clients with investment issues relating to defined benefit and defined contribution plans as well as endowments, foundations and other not-for-profit organizations. He worked with clients in the development of appropriate investment policies, performance measurement criteria, and long-term strategic asset allocation parameters.

Prior to joining Russell Investments in 2008, Brian spent seven years working as an actuary for a large actuarial firm. There, he consulted with clients on diverse employee benefits issues. Specific areas of expertise included funding and accounting valuations of qualified, non-qualified, and multiemployer pension plans, financial modeling and forecasting, defined benefit plan design, regulatory compliance issues, and benefits administration.

Russell Investments' ownership is composed of a majority stake held by funds managed by TA Associates Management, L.P., with a significant minority stake held by funds managed by Reverence Capital Partners, L.P. Certain of Russell Investments' employees and Hamilton Lane Advisors, LLC also hold minority, non-controlling, ownership stakes.
