Miguel Ovalle is a Director in the fixed income team responsible for the coverage of global investment grade strategies (Global, US, Europe, UK), buy and maintain strategies, LDI, European and UK aggregate strategies as well as for the Sukuks coverage.

He has more than ten years’ experience in financial markets serving a range of different institutions, including emerging markets asset managers and financial research companies.

Miguel joined Russell Investments in 2019 as a fixed income analyst and was promoted to senior analyst in 2022 and to Director in 2025. In his role, Miguel has been instrumental for the creation and management of new investment universes such as Sukuks and buy and maintain strategies, leveraging his experience as credit analyst.

Prior to Russell Investments, Miguel worked in Buenos Aires for Crisil, part of S&P Global companies, as lead credit analyst, responsible for the coverage of emerging markets credits globally. Before Crisil, Miguel worked as junior trader at Casa de Bolsa, asset management company in Bogota, Colombia, for over two years providing recommendations in FX and fixed income instruments as well as supported the FX and derivatives trading desk.
