Chief Marketing Officer

Chris Ciompi is Chief Marketing Officer at Russell Investments, where he leads the firm’s global marketing strategy and brand, helping drive growth and deepen client engagement across institutional, intermediary, and individual investor segments. He is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee.

Chris brings more than 20 years of experience in marketing, communications and strategy, including over a decade in executive leadership roles. He has a strong track record of building and scaling marketing organizations, developing go-to-market strategies and driving demand generation to support business growth.

Prior to joining Russell Investments, Chris was a senior partner at Lippincott, advising leading financial services and global brands on marketing and customer strategy. Earlier in his career, he served as Chief Marketing Officer at Global X ETFs, Euromoney Institutional Investor, and Clarity AI, a BlackRock and SoftBank portfolio company, and he led integrated marketing at Liberty Mutual Insurance.

Chris began his career in journalism before moving into consulting, including roles as the Group Head of Financial Services at Edelman and as an Engagement Manager in McKinsey & Company’s financial services practice. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Rice University and an MBA from Duke University.
