Managing Director, Chief Risk Officer

Mark brings extensive experience in risk management across public and private markets, with more than three decades at the intersection of financial markets, analytics and technology. He is currently an Investment Fellow in the Division of Investment Management at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, where he partners with the Analytics Office to bring industry insights in support of the agency’s mission.

Previously, Mark spent over 20 years at BlackRock, where he served as Chief Performance Officer and Head of Fixed Income and Multi-Asset Investment Risk. He was also a member of BlackRock’s Operating Committee. During his tenure, he led modeling efforts for Federal Reserve assignments during the 2008–2009 financial crisis and brings deep modeling and business expertise to his new role.
