Managing Director, Head of Asia-Pacific (APAC)

Jason Edgar is the Managing Director and Head of Asia-Pacific (APAC) for Russell Investments, the global investment solutions provider founded in 1936, with $370 billion in assets under management as of 30 September 2025. Based in Sydney, Jason oversees the firm’s businesses across Japan, Korea, China, Australia, and New Zealand. He is also a member of Russell Investments’ Executive Committee.

Prior to joining Russell Investments, Jason was the Asia Regional Head of Strategy and Corporate Development for MetLife, based in Hong Kong. In that role, he led the expansion of MetLife’s presence across ten markets in Asia through mergers and acquisitions, distribution partnerships, and the execution of high-impact strategic initiatives.

Earlier in his career, Jason served as a senior strategic advisor to the U.S. government, focusing on strengthening international trade relationships in Asia and addressing regulatory developments following the Global Financial Crisis.

Jason holds a Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College and an MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business. He resides in Sydney with his family.
