Head of Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA)

Jim Leggate is Head of Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) for Russell Investments and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. Based in London, he leads the firm’s EMEA business across six offices, with responsibility for regional strategy, performance and growth.

Jim’s focus is on driving continued growth by building on Russell Investments’ established institutional business while expanding strategic partnerships across the wealth market. Drawing on the firm’s open-architecture approach, he brings together Advisory, Investments and Implementation capabilities to create solutions shaped around clients’ evolving needs and objectives.

Since joining Russell Investments in 2011, Jim has helped drive the firm’s growth across EMEA, including establishing its presence in the Middle East and opening its Dubai office, where he was based for more than five years.

Jim brings more than 30 years of experience across institutional and wealth markets. Prior to Russell Investments, he led EMEA Asset Owners and Investment Consultants at MSCI and held roles at Bloomberg. Earlier, he spent more than seven years with WI Carr, a private client and family office stockbroking firm, experience that continues to inform his perspective on the evolving wealth market.
