A Global OCIO Market Leader (Chestnut Solutions Institute)

Russell Investments was named a Global OCIO Market Leader in the Chestnut Solutions Institute’s 2025 OCIO Market Leader Awards, which recognized the five largest OCIO providers by assets under management (AUM). Notably, Russell Investments ranked #1 in Public Retirement and among the Top Five in: Global OCIO Providers, Global Corporate Defined Benefit, and Insurance.

Russell Investments was named the "Transition Management Firm of the Year" winner at the 2026 European Pensions Awards. The award recognized Russell Investments’ bespoke, outcome-focused transition management solutions across a wide range of transition types.

For the 13th consecutive year (2012-2024), Russell Investments was globally ranked among the top managers by institutional outsourced assets under management (AUM) from its fully discretionary clients in CIO Magazine’s Outsourced Chief Investments Officer (OCIO) Survey. In the 2024 survey, Russell Investments placed first among the global managers in Healthcare and in the top 10 for Defined Benefit and 401(k), 403(b) or other DC outsourced assets.

Russell Investments received four perfect scores and achieved an overall score of 9.60 in The TRADE’s 2023 Outsourced Trading Survey, including perfect scores in Client Service and Relationship Management, Onboarding, Business Model and Other Factors, and Cost Versus Value for Money.

3MMI/Barron's Industry Award Winner: Asset Manager of the Year. Source: The award was presented on October 12, 2023, and recognizes innovation and leadership in the investment advisory solutions industry. Nominations were reviewed and evaluated by a specially appointed MMI Industry Awards Steering Council and by the MMI Membership Experience Committee (MEC), which determined a slate of finalists in each award category. The primary contacts at each of MMI's 208 members firms were eligible to vote to determine the winners in each category. MMI/Barron's does not receive compensation from the participating firms in exchange for the award and Russell Investments did not pay a fee to MMI/Barron's in exchange for its receipt of the award. Russell Investments is a member of MMI and pays a fee to MMI as part of its membership dues. The award is not indicative of the firm's future performance nor may it be representative of any one client's experience.

Recipients were selected by an independent panel of judges organized by Pensions Age, based on qualitative criteria such as innovation, client service, and contributions to the pension investment industry. This recognition should not be interpreted as a testimonial or endorsement by any client or investor, and it does not guarantee future performance or success. Short-listed recipients were invited to the following publications' awards ceremonies, in which we purchased an event table and received licensing usage rights of the award logo/badge.
