Russell Investments appointed to foreign exchange hedging mandate by ERAFP

London, 2025-04-07 – The appointment will see Russell Investments employ its proprietary currency hedging capabilities to deliver a customised programme that reduces the currency risk inherent in investment portfolios.

Global investment solutions provider Russell Investments today announces it has been appointed by the Établissement de Retraite additionnelle de la Fonction publique (ERAFP) to manage its EUR 4.2 billion foreign exchange hedging requirements.

The ERAFP is the administrative entity responsible for the management of the pension scheme for fully qualified and trainee civil servants working in the French Government. First established in 2003, the scheme is now responsible for around EUR 50 billion of assets on behalf of more than 4.5 million contributors

The appointment will see Russell Investments employ its proprietary currency hedging capabilities to deliver a customised programme that reduces the currency risk inherent in investment portfolios.

A highly experienced currency manager, Russell Investments manages over €50 billion* of currency exposure across a range of risk-reducing and return-enhancing strategies. These include passive currency hedging, dynamic currency hedging and absolute return currency strategies.
