Head of Asia-Pacific (APAC)

Jason Edgar is Head of Asia-Pacific (APAC) for Russell Investments. Based in Sydney, Jason leads the firm's businesses across the Asia-Pacific region, including Japan, Korea, China, Australia, and New Zealand. He is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee.

Prior to joining Russell Investments in 2023, Jason served as the Asia regional head of strategy and corporate development for MetLife, based in Hong Kong. Over nine years with the insurer, he played a key role in expanding its Asia business, including through transactions in India and Hong Kong and distribution partnerships in Southeast Asia.

Jason began his career in the U.S. government, where he focused on expanding international trade with Asian markets and regulation emerging from the Global Financial Crisis. He earned his BA from Dartmouth College and MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business.
