Gerard Fitzpatrick
GLOBAL CHIEF INVESTMENT OFFICER, FIXED INCOME
Gerard Fitzpatrick is Global Head of Fixed Income Portfolio Management for Russell Investments. Based in London, he is responsible for the performance of all of the firm’s fixed income funds. As a senior member of the Investment Division, Gerard sits on the Investment Strategy Committee and Investment Leadership Team. He is also a regular media commentator on fixed income and market–related issues.
From 2013 to 2019, Gerard served as Fixed Income CIO where he was responsible for the firm’s manager research and portfolio management activities in this asset class, while also holding co-portfolio management responsibilities for Russell Investments’ fixed income fund range. In 2011, Gerard moved from London to the firm’s headquarters in Seattle to assume portfolio management responsibilities across a range of Russell Investments’ US bond funds.
Gerard joined Russell Investments in 2007 where he served as portfolio manager for the firm’s global bond funds. While in this role, the global bond funds received several industry awards across Europe for being the best performing global bond fund throughout the volatile financial crisis.
Prior to joining Russell Investments, Gerard worked in Bermuda, initially for Bank of Bermuda, where he served as Director for Treasury Asset Management. After that, he was with West End Capital (Bermuda) Advisors Ltd as their CEO responsible for managing a fixed income structured investment vehicle, multi-asset portfolios for insurance company clients, and the underlying capital for a fixed income arbitrage hedge fund seeded by Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway.
