Michael Hall leads a team of investment professionals tasked with delivering world class service and advice to Defined Benefit plans in the United States. He has been providing investment consulting services to clients since 1998. His areas of specialization and expertise include plan governance and investment policy review and implementation; asset allocation modeling and implementation; liability hedging benchmark construction; investment strategy development and implementation; evaluation and development of investment manager structure; and evaluation and selection of investment managers.

Before rejoining Russell Investments in September 2017, Michael was the West Division Leader for Towers Watson Investment Services at Willis Towers Watson. Prior to joining Willis Towers Watson, Michael spent 12 years at Russell Investment Group, where he served in various roles, including director of investment strategy, director of asset liability strategy and senior consultant. For eight years before that, Michael worked as an actuary for corporate retirement and benefits plans.

Michael is an associate of the Society of Actuaries, a CFA charterholder and member of the CFA Society of Seattle.
