Russell Investments earns FRR transition management mandate

Firm’s global transition management team executes transitions for $723 billion in 2017

LONDON, 4 July 2018 – Global asset manager Russell Investments today announced that the French government’s pension plan sponsor FRR (Fonds de réserve pour les retraites) selected the firm for a new global portfolio transition management mandate.

The FRR will leverage Russell Investments Implementation Service Limited to manage portfolios, when assigned, during transition periods. The transition process will include execution of buy and sell orders on financial instruments originating from the FRR’s asset managers.

“We appreciate the trust the FRR places in Russell Investments to deliver seamlessly executed transitions,” said Mirjam Klijnsma, managing director, Implementation Services, EMEA. “Our team of veteran transition experts looks forward to serving the FRR with the latest technology to find liquidity, reduce transaction costs and manage risk.”

This mandate is the third-consecutive for Russell Investments since FRR initially hired the firm in 2010.

“Our transition management value proposition is strong, and we’re very pleased to serve the FRR through this renewed mandate,” said Dominique Dorlipo, president, Russell Investments France. “Our clients in France and globally have come to expect consistency in the quality of our service as well as our dedicated team.”
