Access the resources you need for tax preparation and filing, including capital gains distributions reports, and supplemental tax information documents.
Note:
Depending on your firm's processes, the credit of the distribution (dividend and/or capital gain) to your client's account could be delayed, which may appear to cause a brief decline in account values, equal to the distribution amount(s). However, this doesn't mean that your investors have lost money. Investors can either take capital gain distributions in cash or reinvest them, as most investors do. If distributions are reinvested, the number of shares in the account will increase when your firms' processing is complete, leaving the total value of the account unaffected by the distribution. If the investor takes distributions in cash, the cash distribution will be credited to their account on the funds' payable day.
