Pensions Age recognises firm for its passion in helping clients achieve desired outcomes
LONDON, 27 February 2018 – Global asset manager Russell Investments was recognised as the “Fiduciary Management Firm of the Year’ for 2018 at the recent Pensions Age Awards ceremony in London. Chosen from among 10 finalists in this category, Russell Investments was singled out by Pensions Age magazine’s independent panel of judges as a “truly worthy winner of this competitive award.”
Jim Leggate, Head of UK Institutional and Middle East, at Russell Investments, said, “When it comes to keeping clients on target with their funding plan, we believe our culture, capability and resources all combine to make us the best fit as a fiduciary partner. By taking control of even the smallest decisions, through leveraging our strategists, portfolio managers and traders under one roof, clients draw on our expertise like an extension of their own, with each incremental gain helping to reach their goal.”
Leggate added that he found it particularly gratifying that the award is based in part on client comments solicited through the independent judging process. Client feedback in 2017 was also evidenced by no unfavourable client redemptions from the fiduciary business in 2017 as well as enhanced and expanded existing relationships.
“As the UK pension industry has been beset with rises in liability valuations, volatility across capital markets and intense pressure on sponsor covenants, we have worked diligently to keep our clients on target with their funding plan,” Leggate said.
With a fully transparent business model for fiduciary management, Russell Investments aligns with clients to deliver better outcomes at a total portfolio level, using its core capabilities extending across asset allocation, capital markets insights, factor exposures, manager research and portfolio implementation.
Now in its fifth year, the Pensions Age Awards, hosted by Pensions Age Magazine, are billed as the showcase for excellence within the UK pensions industry. Independently judged, the winners were announced 22 February 2018.
