Pierre Dongo-Soria, CFA, is a Senior Asset Allocation Strategist for Russell Investments. In his current role, Pierre is responsible for developing investment strategies and cross-asset views to help investors achieve their goals.
Before joining Russell Investments, Pierre worked for six years with HSBC Asset Management in London as Senior Vice President and Strategist for Global Macro & Investment Strategy. During his tenure at HSBC, Pierre was responsible for developing cross-asset views, investment strategy, and global macro analysis.
Prior to joining HSBC, Pierre worked as an Associate Director of Multi-Asset Research for two years and one month at an investment management company. In this role, he led the production of Capital Market Assumptions and asset class research. Pierre has also worked as a Portfolio Manager for Rimac Seguros in Peru. Pierre managed $600mm on EM Fixed Income and FX, presented investment strategies across asset classes, and performed strategic asset allocations.
Additionally, he worked as a Portfolio Manager for the Central Bank of Peru for three years and two months, where he managed a €5bn European IG Fixed Income portfolio, surpassing targeted alpha, and assisted in managing the $20bn U.S. portfolio.
Pierre has a master's degree in finance from the London Business School, where he was an active member of the Investment Management Club. He holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Universidad del Pacífico in Peru, where he was a top 10% student of his graduating class.
