A Top Global Manager of institutional outsourced assets
For the ninth year in a row, Russell Investments was ranked as a top global manager of institutional outsourced assets in CIO Magazine’s “Outsourced-Chief Investments Officer (OCIO) Survey,” based on the AUM from its fully discretionary clients. Notably, in CIO’s “2020 OCIO Survey,” which included 50 firms, Russell Investments was the largest globally ranked in Defined Benefit outsourced assets and placed among the top five global managers in Healthcare and 401(k), 403(b) or other DC outsourced assets.

Innovation winner – Investment Outsourcing
Russell Investments was named as the winner of CIO Magazine's 2017 Industry Innovation Award for Investment Outsourcing. CIO cited Russell Investments' top client satisfaction rankings in the magazine's 2016 and 2017 OCIO Vendor Ratings surveys, as well as the firm's position as one of the world's largest OCIO providers. This is Russell Investments' fifth time2; as a CIO Industry Innovation Award winner since the awards were created in 2010.

Russell Investments was named the winner of the “Transition Management Firm of the Year” at the 2018 European Pensions Awards. Chosen among five finalists in this category, Pensions Age and European Pensions cited Russell Investments’ understanding of clients’ needs and the firm’s demonstrated performance and innovation.

In 2017, for the second year in a row, Russell Investments was top rated for “Client Satisfaction” out of 37 rated firms in CIO Magazine’s “2017 Outsourced-Chief Investment Officer (OCIO) Vendor Ratings” survey in “Overall service,” “Investment results,” and “Value for fees” categories.4
